Closets For Life owner, Rick Lyrek, and fellow NARI-MN members took part in a Habitat for Humanity build project in Blaine as part of NARI Cares day.
NARI Cares, coordinated by the local Minnesota chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI), is committed to assisting Minnesota homeowners and organizations in need by performing affordable repairs or remodeling projects that will help improve the lives of those less fortunate. Rick, pictured on the left working alongside Kevin Kalal from Abdo, Eick & Meyers, and several other NARI-MN members donated their time in honor of NARI Cares Day which took place in September, 2017.

Closets For Life Earns 2017 Super Service Award
Closets For Life, has earned a 2017 Angie’s List Super Service Award reflecting an exemplary year of service provided to members of Angie’s List. This is the fifth year in a row Closets For Life has received the award.

The National Association of the Remodeling Industry – Minnesota Chapter awarded Closets For Life two 2017 Contractor of the Year (COTY) awards on November 16, 2017 for outstanding work on two separate projects. Closets for Life won in the category of Residential Interior Element Under $30,000 for a custom garage organization project and in the category of Residential Project Under $15,000 for a custom walk-in closet project.
Both projects highlight Closets For Life’s commitment to quality design, work and service. This is the fifth year Closets For Life, an Apple Valley based custom closet and home organization company, has received an award in this competition, having also won awards in 2015, 2014, 2013 and 2011.

Hosted by the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI-MN), the COTY awards recognize the best in Twin Cities residential remodeling. Contest submissions are judged by a panel of 25 remodeling professionals and evaluation is based on how a project enhanced an existing structure, used superior craftsmanship, overcame obstacles and delivered a project that met the client’s objectives.
Closets For Life has earned an Angie’s List Super Service Award reflecting an exemplary year of service provided to members of Angie’s List in 2016. This is the fourth year in a row Closets For Life has received the award.
Closets For Life has 51 ‘A’ ratings and 1 ‘B’ rating on Angie’s List. “As a company, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional service and quality work to our clients. To be recognized for the fourth year in a row is an honor and reinforces that we are doing right by our customers.”, said Closets For Life owner, Rick Lyrek.

Closets For Life Wins Third COTY Award
The National Association of the Remodeling Industry – Minnesota Chapter awarded Closets For Life a 2015 Contractor of the Year (COTY) award last week for its outstanding work on an Excelsior wine cellar project. The Apple Valley company won in the category of Residential Project Under $30,000. This is the third COTY award Closets For Life, an Apple Valley based custom closet and home organization company, has received, having also won the award in 2013 and 2011.
The award winning wine cellar project has a bottle capacity of over 900 bottles featuring curved corner mahogany wood racking with a wheat stain finish, a beautiful arched display area and separate area for serving. The completed project was a stunning showcase wine cellar perfectly suited for entertaining and wine storage.

Closets for Life Wins 2014 COTY Award
The Minnesota Chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry announced the recipients for the 2014 NARI MN COTY Awards. The awards recognize excellence in aesthetics, functionality, superior craftsmanship, use of innovative construction materials & techniques, overcoming difficult obstacles, and meeting client needs. Closets For Life is proud to have been awarded a Silver in the category of Residential Project Under $15,000. Rick Runs Boston Marathon
Rick Lyrek, owner of Closets For Life, accomplished his long-time goal of running the world-famous Boston Marathon in April of 2012. Rick finished the daunting 26.2 miles despite high temperatures. Congratulations to Rick!

Two Businesses Connect Through Running
“Two local business owners have found a way to support each other and it started with a stop for some running shoes.
When Closets For Life owner Rick Lyrek stopped in at Burnsville’s Run ’N’ Fun for some new shoes, the owner of the shop, Perry Bach, took note of Lyrek’s blue work van, which bears the logo for his Apple Valley custom closet company.”
KARE 11 Messy Garage Contest
Closets For Life teamed up with KARE 11 and Everything’s Together, a professional organization company, to give one owner of a messy garage a chance to upgrade and get organized. The ‘Organize Your Garage’ contest winner received a garage makeover including new custom garage storage for Closets For Life. The story aired on KARE 11 News @ 4 featuring the contest winners, Rick from Closets For Life and Louise from Everything’s Together.

Family Connects Over Closets
To Rick Lyerk, owner of Closets for Life, his business is more than a home-organizing company, it’s a way to connect with family. Much of Lyrek’s family is involved in the business in some way or another. Lyrek designs and markets all of Closets for Life’s cabinets and wine cellars, which are manufactured by Interscapes Inc., a custom-cabinet business owned by his brother, Ron.
